Heavier, flatter, and roomy enough that hand engraving is comfortable rather than heroic. In silver it sits just under the exemption weight at smaller sizes and crosses it at larger ones — the studio shows you the moment it does.

Hand engraving

Surface treatment. Long wear — especially on the outside of a ring — will gradually make it fainter. We do not describe it as lasting for ever.
Diamond drag

Surface treatment with almost no depth. It wears faster than the cut methods and is not suited to outer ring faces.
