Rinse and dry the moving band occasionally; grit between the band and core is what shortens its life.
At 7.4 g this sits just under the 7.78 g exemption. A larger size or a heavier metal will take it over and add a hallmarking submission.

Adding does not start production. Nothing is cut until the order is placed and, where artwork is uploaded, until a person has approved it.
