Weights are quoted at UK size M (52.5 mm inner circumference). A larger size uses more metal and can cross the exemption weight — the studio recalculates as you choose. Size guide
Engraving faces
Inside the band
44.5 × 3 mm usable · 8 mm reserved for the hallmark
8 mm of the inner wall is reserved for the hallmark and stays clear of your text.
Outside the band
52.5 × 2.6 mm usable
A flat outer face holds a line, but it is the surface that meets everything.
Methods on this blank, and what fits
Hand engraving

Machine engraving

Laser engraving

Surface treatment. Long wear — especially on the outside of a ring — will gradually make it fainter. We do not describe it as lasting for ever.
Diamond drag
+£30 · +2–3 working days · up to 71 characters per line at 1 mm
Surface treatment with almost no depth. It wears faster than the cut methods and is not suited to outer ring faces.

Made to your specification, so the 14-day right to change your mind does not apply (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg. 28(1)(b)). You still have 24 hours from placing the order to cancel it for a full refund, and if we cut the wrong thing, cut it badly, make it to the wrong specification or send you the wrong piece, we repair, remake or refund it under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
